Emoji & symbols
A searchable grid of every emoji and symbol, with skin tones, pins and your most-used characters first.
Search emoji and symbols, then paste one into the app you were using.
Open it with the Search Emoji & Symbols command, or with its own global shortcut from Settings → Emoji & Symbols.
Actions

Pasting needs the Accessibility permission. The footer shows where the paste will go.
Moving around the grid
This is the only screen where all four arrow keys and all four Emacs chords move the selection. Here, ⌃F and ⌃B move through the grid instead of moving the text cursor.
Moving into the first row scrolls all the way to the top, so the section title stays visible.
You can also use the mouse to click, double-click, right-click and hover.
Use the category menu in the header (or ⌘P) to show all categories, your pinned or frequently used characters, or a single category. The number next to each section title is the number of items in it.
Pinned
Pin an emoji or symbol from the Actions menu to keep it at the top of the picker. New pins are added to the end of the section. You can reorder them from the same menu or with the shortcuts above.
Frequently used
The emoji you use most appear in a section at the top, so you don't have to search for them. They also still appear in their own categories.
Skin tone
Settings → Emoji & Symbols → Emoji Skin Tone
Default · Light · Medium Light · Medium · Medium Dark · Dark
The skin tone applies to every emoji that supports one, including when you paste.
Your skin tone is one of the settings the Raycast importer can bring over.
Grid size
The Actions menu has Actual Size (⌘0), Zoom In (⌘+) and Zoom Out (⌘-), from six to ten columns. Set the default grid size in Settings → Emoji & Symbols → Column Count. It starts at eight.
