# Keyboard shortcuts
> Every built-in shortcut in the palette and its screens, in one place.
These shortcuts are built in and can't be changed. For shortcuts you record yourself, see
[Hotkeys](/docs/reference/hotkeys).
Shortcuts follow key positions, so they work the same on any keyboard layout or input source.
## Everywhere in the palette

When **Default action** is set to Copy to Clipboard, return and
⌘return are swapped.

## Switch Room

In the window picker, return adds or removes a window and ⌘return
saves the room.

## Dialogs
On **every** dialog, including ones that delete things, return clicks the main button and
esc cancels. Cancel is always on the left.
## Redcast workspace and context

Shortcuts are contextual. Use the active screen's ⌘K menu when a text field or picker has focus. Global shortcuts are assigned separately in Settings.
